Children's Choir Director Julie Kivell Overlie
Julie is the director of children’s choirs at St. Philip’s. She is a licensed K-12 vocal/general music teacher, but is currently pursuing a career as a stay-at-home Mom. She plans to resume her teaching career in the future. Julie received her Master’s degree in music education from the University of St. Thomas and her Bachelor’s degree in music from Luther College. Julie and her husband, Jeff, are members at St. Philip’s along with their two sons, Evan and Kaj.

Kendra
Brodin directs the three children's choirs and four handbell choirs at
St. Philip's. She has been involved in church music for many
years, beginning when she became a church organist at the age of 11.
Kendra loves working with the children and adults in the groups that she
directs, as well as the fantastic staff at the church. In addition
to working at St. Philip's, Kendra is also an attorney. In her
free time, Kendra loves to spend time with her husband, Ryan, and
daughter, Allison. She also loves spending time with family and
friends.
