Parish Nurse

The parish nurse is an experienced Registered Nurse who has additional education in parish nursing and is committed to the caring and healing ministry of the church. The parish nurse works in partnership with the pastoral staff, Health and Wellness Ministries, other ministries and volunteers who share their time and talents.

The focus of this ministry is on health promotion, wellness and preventive care. It is not a substitute for pastoral care, medical care, community health nursing or social agencies, but rather works in partnership with these services. The parish nurse does not provide hands-on care and does not replace any health care service.

Parish Nurse Tuni Turner is available at the church two or three days a week, and from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. on one Sunday a month. She may be contacted at tturner@usfamily.net.
