Pastors Janice Hartsook and Ryan Brodin

Janice Hartsook
Pastor
Jan Hartsook has been at St. Philip's since September of 1996. She grew
up in Helena, Montana, and then attended Gustavus Adolphus College.
After graduating she taught high school biology at Cooper High School
in Robbinsdale and Chaska High School for 10 years. During that time
she was an active member of Prince of Peace in St. Louis Park. She then
returned to school, attending Luther Seminary in St. Paul. For over 11
years, she and her husband, Pastor Phil Gotsch, were co-pastors at First
Lutheran in Trimont, Minnesota and Kansas Lake Lutheran near
Butterfield, Minnesota. Pastor Phil is now an interim pastor in the St.
Paul and Minneapolis Area Synods. They
have three children: Mary, who lives with her husband and four children
(Devin, Caitlin, Matthew and Conner) in Boise, Idaho; Christeen who
lives in Spring Lake Park with her son, Zachary; and Michael who lives
just outside of the Twin Cities Area.. Camping, walking, reading, music, and being with family and
friends are among her favorite things to do.

Ryan Brodin

Pastor Ryan Brodin has
been at St. Philip’s since July of 2000. He was born and raised in Anoka, Minnesota. He graduated Phi
Beta Kappa from Augustana College in Rock
Island, Illinois and received his Masters of Divinity from Princeton
Theological Seminary in Princeton,
New Jersey. His wife, Kendra, is the Handbell Choir Director here at
St. Philip’s and is a non-profit administrator. They live in Shoreview
with their daughters, Allison and Anna. Pastor Ryan loves to fish, play
golf, watch movies and visit family and friends in his free time.
